Chai Hard
Cozy, aromatic, and effortless - the perfect winter sipper
Ingredients
- 2oz Canadian Rye Whisky
- .25oz Apple Chaider
- Cinnamon Stick
Method
- Combine all liquid ingredients into a mixing glass
- Stir with cinnamon stick
- Strain into Old Fashioned glass over large ice cube
- Garnish with cinnamon stick stirrer
Garnish
You can simply drop the cinnamon stick into the glass, or take it up a level with a smoky, aromatic finish.
For the upgraded version, have a chilled glass ready. On a piece of natural, unvarnished wood, use a brulee torch to burn one end of a cinnamon stick until it begins to smoke. Quickly place the chilled glass upside down over the stick to trap the smoke. After a few seconds, flip the glass upright, add your ice, and pour the stirred cocktail into the smoky glass. Finish by placing the cinnamon stick in the drink, burnt end down, and re-light the tip like an incense stick for an extra hit of aroma.
Notes
A super-simple, winter-spiced Old Fashioned that anyone can make. Burn a cinnamon stick for a little theatre and a big wow-factor, or keep it easy and let the Apple Chaider shine with whatever whisky you have at home. Cozy, aromatic, and effortless - the perfect winter sipper.

I love your Apple Chai liqueur. Fave recipe is a Mumbai Mule: vodka or rum, Apple Chai, top with ginger beer and generous squeeze of lemon over ice. Delish!
