Holocene Distilling Project is located at 1134 Chapman Rd, Cobble Hill, BC, V8H 0C5, in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. We are open Friday 3-6pm and Saturday 11-5pm for cocktails and tours. Weekday pickup is available by request.

We handcraft gin, vodka, and botanical liqueurs from scratch in small batches on Vancouver Island. All of our spirits are made using locally inspired botanicals and produced with sustainability at the core of everything we do. Whisky is currently aging in barrels with releases coming soon.

Yes. We welcome visitors Friday 3-6pm and Saturday 11-5pm for cocktails and tours. Tours are booked in advance - please email hello@holocenedistilling.com to reserve your spot. Weekday visits for pickup are available by request.

Absolutely. We welcome families and dogs with no restrictions. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. Please note that alcohol consumption and purchase requires proof of age - you must be 19 or older to consume or purchase spirits on site or online.

No. You are welcome to visit the distillery at any age - but you must be accompanied by an adult with two pieces of ID. You must be 19 or older to purchase or consume alcohol on site or through our online store.

Holocene was founded in 2017 by engineer Dorian Redden and herbalist Aisling Goodman with a commitment to building a genuinely sustainable distillery from the ground up. We handcraft every spirit from scratch, use locally inspired botanicals, and are working toward fully carbon-neutral operations by 2030 through custom energy conservation systems built on-site. Our spirits have earned multiple awards including CASC Gold and Best in Class recognition.

Yes. Whisky is currently aging in barrels at the distillery. We will announce releases through our newsletter and social channels - sign up to be the first to know.
